  1. This is a list of special Command Line Options available for BRE.
  2.  
  3. To use them, just add them to the end of the "BRE.EXE" in your Install
  4. Made Batch File [BRE.BAT] in your BBS Directory, ie. "BRE.EXE /LOCAL"
  5.  
  6. Name                               What it does
  7. ----                               ------------
  8. DELETE ?                           This parameter, DELETE with a single
  9.                                    letter A-Y after will delete any player
  10.                                    specified.  It can be used with no
  11.                                    other parameters.
  12. RESET                              Resets BRE Game - Must be done when first
  13.                                    installed
  14. VIEW                               Allows you to View players, as well as
  15.                                    Delete them, and change their UserNames
  16. REGISTER                           After you recieve your registration code,
  17.                                    run this to register your copy.
  18. EDIT                               Edit Pirate Names
  19. SCORES                             Create ANSI/ASCII Scores Files
  20. /LOCKED=#####                      This will set a Locked Baud Rate to #####
  21. /NOSPECIALEFFECTS                  Removes special effects (Pause and Whirly)
  22.                                    for HighSpeed Locked Baud Rates
  23. /LOCAL                             Runs game LOCAL Only - Not necessary
  24.                                    for local play though
  25. /NOCHECKTIME                       Turns off Time Limit Checking.
  26.                                    Time Support is not tested with all door
  27.                                    formats.
  28. IPSETUP                            This will automatically set up your
  29.                                    PLANDATA.BBS file if you'd like.  You
  30.                                    can also use a text editor to create
  31.                                    this file.  This file is necessary for
  32.                                    InterPlanetary play.
  33. NODELIST                           Accesses Nodelist Manager - This allows
  34.                                    you to add nodes, edit nodes, and delete
  35.                                    nodes in the current BRNODES.DAT file.
  36.                                    This can also be done through a normal
  37.                                    Text Editor.
  38. PLANETARY                          Daily Maintainence for Inter-Planetary
  39.                                    Warfare - This can be multiple times during
  40.                                    the day to speed gameplay up by reading
  41.                                    inbound and creating outbound datafiles.
  42. INBOUND                            Runs only INBOUND section of BRE Planetary.
  43.                                    If you want to run BRE PLANETARY after each
  44.                                    play, run BRE INBOUND before BRE.EXE
  45.                                    NOTE:  This will also ROUTE outbound files.
  46.                                    The INBOUND command can be used with any
  47.                                    mailer system.
  48. OUTBOUND                           Same as Inbound, except run AFTER BRE.EXE
  49.                                    Only processes OUTBOUND files.
  50.                                    NOTE:  This can *only* be used with the
  51.                                    Del/Sent Supporting Mailers [Front Door and
  52.                                    BinkleyTerm]
  53. UPDATE                             In Inter-BBS Game, sends Configuration
  54.                                    Updates to All Nodes to make sure all
  55.                                    nodes have the same config.  Automatically
  56.                                    done internally.  Only can be done by BBS #1.
  57.                                    This is no longer necessary, but can be
  58.                                    run if necessary in special circumstances
  59. GOOIEREMOVE                        This removes a Gooie Kablooie being created
  60.                                    On your system.  This is used if the gooie
  61.                                    is created by a "bad" user or because of
  62.                                    target changes, etc.
  63. ALLIES                             Allows you to modify current alliance
  64.                                    status with other planets
  65. RECON                              Creates Global Recon Updates and Requests
  66. P_SETUP                            Install InterPlanetary Warfare - No longer
  67.                                    necessary.  This command can still be used
  68.                                    to reset Recons File if yours is corrupted.
